Located in the Goreme valley, this museum contains a church, chapel, kitchens and dormitories. The buildings in the museum are dated to the 8th-12th centuries AD. In addition, the Goreme Open Air Museum includes the Girls and Boys Monastery, St. Basil's Church, Elmalı Church, St. Barbara Church. , Yılanlı Church, Pantokrator Church, Malta Crusader Church, St. Catherine's Church, Dark Church, Çarıklı Church and Tokalı Church. In these places of worship, there are scenes depicted from the holy book, the Bible. There are still some of these icons, most of them destroyed, in much better condition, and this open-air museum is definitely worth a visit!
